The world is evil

Prelims ended. Maths and history have to go down as the worst. hopefully passed the rest. Am just hoping for pass for physics and for computing. Hope for GP its at least an D else...

Anyways its the September holidays. Had made plans to go swim at Sentosa today. Didn't happen. But did go gym later on in the day. After very long.

The world is an evil place. 3rd world countries are in debt. Some countries are trying hard to repay them. Until their debts are not cleared, they would not be able to progress or get their citizens out of poverty. Ofcos its the developed countries that they owe money to mostly. I don't understand, why can't the countries just forgo the debts if, given that, the debtor countries are willing to play their part. Which won't happen with corruption around. Not like its those corrupted officials that are suffering out there. Humanity has gone to the winds. The world is an evil place.

Think before you click!

Recently there has been a lot of buzz about eating on trains and buses. Yes it’s true we should not eat on buses, trains or such. Yet people still do. It has led to SMRT staff being forced to step in and give out fines to curb the problem. It’s not that the staffs are happy to do this task. But if they don’t people will simply keep pushing the limits. But that does not mean you take photos of people who eat and get away with it.

If you visit the STOMP website, you would find many pictures of people eating or of people hogging the priority seats not meant for them. Yes, those people are in the wrong. But so are the people who take theses pictures. Do they ask before they click? Do they take the pictures discretely, which is worse?

It takes a lot to approach strangers and ask them not to step out of line (I don’t mean it directly). Many people, I included, cannot do it. IF you cannot do it, then its no use being online heroes. If you want to make a change, start with yourself. If you want to make a change, do it right then, don’t air the dirty laundry online for don’t know what purpose. Are you trying to raise awareness? Are you trying to zoom in on the culprit? Or are you hoping his family and friends read it and therefore he feels embarrassed? And if you still insist on doing so, how about when you upload that picture next time, you upload yours too, so that people can know who these “online heroes” really are.

R.I.P.

Anyways won't be blogging here anymore. So yah. A short life, this blog had. Bye people. Thanks for reading.

One day you'll look back and realize how foolish you were.
And by then it might be too late.

Tired, as usual

Omg so tired, so tired.

Had class today from 8 to 9.30, Computing, but only reached at 8.50 as I woke up late. I ad went to sleep early but from 5am, I started having some sort of dream.
When I encounter some problems in dreams, I find it hard to wake up. Like my mind does not want to leave that virtual reality till it solves the problem. Which by right should be easy since I control the elements there? Not that my unconscious mind is aware of that. The mind can be very complex at times.

Yeah so after that I went for Physics from 9.30 to 11.30. I disagreed with the definition of Lenz's law that my teacher provided. I preferred the one found in external textbooks. The difference was the e.m.f. and current.

What I liked: Lenz's Law states that the induced current flows in a direction that produces effects to oppose the change that induces it.

What my teacher liked: Lenz's Law states that the direction of the induced e.m.f. is such that it produces an effect which opposes the flux change causing it.

I approached him bout it after class and he explained his point to me. I could understand what his point was but I still don't agree with him.

Turns out, there are many different definitions on the web. This is because modern terms were not invented during Lenz's time and so a lot of variations were made when different people interpreted his law.

I finally settled on mixing some of them, and came up with this: When an emf is generated by a change in magnetic flux, the polarity of the induced emf is such that it produces a current (if the circuit is closed) whose magnetic field opposes the change which produces it.

I would discuss it with my teacher once again and hope he's ok with this one. I mean even if his definition is the best one around, there is no point in me memorizing it if I don't agree with it right.

Ya then after that I had lunch and went for maths. Was there for very long, until 3+ or 4. Took a break in between of course.

When I got home I was very tired, went to sleep from 6 to 8 and then had dinner. Blogging now. Would study Computing and a bit of physics later then would shower and sleep.

Would have sailing tmr from 2 to 5. Went to NUS open house yesterday, but feel lazy to blog about it.

Some food for though:

Sometimes there is no answer, but that does not stop us from finding solutions.

Last specs down.

I was extremely tired on Wednesday. I sat down on my bed to unpack my bag and fell asleep. Next thing I wake up in the wee hours and realized that my face was squashed on my bag and my specs were broken! Gave them for repair on Thursday and since I was "blind" and was exhausted I did not go to school. Woo got contacts for sailing!

Won't speak much about trainings from now onwards, no knowing who reads my blog. *ahem, ahem*

Push

Watched Push the other day with Kumaran and Sathish. I loved the movie! But Kumaran and Sathish said it was darn boring and a waste of money. I caught Sathish sleeping at a point during the movie. Maybe ts because I don't mind complicated story lines. I actually like that, as long as I can understand. If the whole movie is a blur, but all fits together in the end, even better. I loved Push.

Found this scene hilarious.

This is the best poster for the movie
